Staff member / Receptionist

 

Pay rate: entry level

Work hours: open 9:30am to close 6:00pm up to 6 days a week

​

Required experience:

     -Massage Therapist, licensed and insured

​     -Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

     -Accepting constructive criticism is a plus

     -Preferred that you are a CSSM Graduate

The perfect hire would be a retiring licensed massage professional who loves to share knowledge and wants to stay involved in massage but not doing massage and enjoys being a productive team member.

 

Duties:

     -Assistant to the Director

     -Assisting team members

     -Answering phones, good phone etiquette a must

     -Proficiency with Massage Book scheduling program     

     -Scheduling personal interviews for potential students with director

     -Scheduling student massages

     -Cashiering operations with Square Up, point of sales system

Chores:

     -Housekeeping as required to include

     -Bathrooms, cleaning, stocking

     -Vacuuming as required

     -Dusting as required

     -Taking out the trash as required

     -Covid sanitation as required

     -Assisting with office duties

Office Work

​​     -Filing

     -Create folders

     -Printing forms/documents

Interaction with students

     -Coaching and mentoring students

     -Answering student questions

     -Supervising students while in student clinic

Teacher

Pay: TBD

​

Required experience:

     -Massage Therapy, 4000 hours (4+ years)

     -Licensed and insured

     -Preferred that you are a CSSM Graduate

     -Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

     -Must possess a keen desire to teach massage therapy students

​

Work hours…  5:30pm to 10:30pm on class nights 2 class nights per week

​

Duties:

Prepare for class

     -Read/review and prepare relevant material

     -Prepare additional support materials, handouts, internet links as required

Teach

     -Administer, score and document weekly tests

     -Grade each test and give feedback to students

     -Monitor and track performance

     -Use lesson plans to present weekly materials

Make up work

     -Inform student immediately if they did not pass a test by the most expeditious means and   

      schedule a time for make-up.

     -Make up tests will be accomplished during the day and supported by day staff personnel

     -Communicate with Director regularly to advise student progress

     -Help design or assign appropriate make-up work for missed classes

Additional responsibilities

     -Be available in person, by phone, text or e-mail to help students with any issues that may be  

      affecting their school performance

     -Meet with each student at week 4 and week 10 to give them feedback about their

      performance, their strength/weakness areas, and what is needed to be successful in our program

     -Assign and create availability for students to do a massage on CSSM staff and teachers for

      feedback ½ way through clinic

     -Record test scores, student progress, and any required or make-up assignments

     -Complete transcript and documentation for graduation

Chores

     -Tidy classroom, vacuum, dust, wash off tables, empty trash and make sure facility is

      presentable

     -Review and list supplies needed for school (massage lotion, soap, paper towels, etc.)

Teacher's Aid

     -5:30pm to 10:30pm on class nights 2 class nights per week Possible hours for projects or events

     -Hourly position is entry level with opportunity for promotion to Teacher position

 

Job Type: Part-time

 

Duties:

     -Assist in maintaining a roster of all active students

     -Assist in Preparing/maintaining daily lesson plans

     -Assist in Preparing exams and maintaining an accurate grade book

     -Attend staff meetings, job fairs, marketing events and other organization sponsored meetings

     and activities

     -Assist in Enforcing policy and procedures as set forth by Colorado Springs School of Massage

     -Monitor student grades/attendance and input on a daily basis.

     -Advise, mentor, coach students as required

     -Maintain professional appearance and attitude in order to set example for students

     -Provide a quiet and orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning

     -Assist in lab/clinic instruction for students

     -Assist in classroom instruction for students 

     -Perform duties as assigned by Director and or School Administrator

     -Work under close supervision with instructor
